Tip Toe Nail Polish: Rose Bonbon

or perhaps this polish is called Pretty in Pink. I'm not sure. I got this at Old Navy - they had a huge bin full of polishes at the checkout. I'm not usually a fan of pink - and I'm not really a fan of this one either. It has too much silvery glitter in it for my taste. If I'm going to do pink, I want it to be a nice warm toned pink. I definitely gravitate towards the salmons as opposed to this type of color. The polish itself isn't bad. This was 4 coats, and the polish was pretty sheer and thin, but it wasn't a pain to deal with.

China Glaze: Rated Holographic

I'll let the pictures of this gorgeous polish from China Glaze's Kaleidoscope collection speak for themselves... I'm seriously in love. My new favorite nude/pink/neutral polish.

And look at how pretty it is in the shade! Perfect for work!

Ulta: Tutu Cute

Yayy! My proposal defense was fantastic. So  easy! I don't know what I was so worried about.

So.. onto the polish that I wore today. Ulta's Tutu Cute. I really like this polish. I have other pastel purples that really don't work on me because they are so warmed toned, but this really toes the line between warm and cool.

Randomness

So while I was driving the other day I was behind this car - and it made me laugh. I'm pretty sure this dude is divorced.

Unfortunately that was one of the few laughs I've had this week...

I am super nervous because my Thesis proposal defense is today and I'm petrified my panel is going to ask me a million questions that I don't have answers to. And then I will look like a dumbass. I made cannolis last night in the hopes of lulling them into a food coma so they don't ask me anything.

In unrelated news, my bestest buddy just got accepted into UCD Ireland for her second Master's degree. And while I am happy for her, I am super sad for me. Who am I going to watch Weeds, Shameless, and Californication with? Ireland is reallllllly far away. And I assume it is a dreary land full of bars that blast U2's music and serve disgustingly warm beer, so I don't know why she wants to go there so badly.

Also - I got a haircut the other day. This is what it was supposed to look like..

Instead, I got something that is more like this..

After shedding a few tears and wishing I could go back in time to stop this from happening, I have accepted my new super short do. Hopefully I will be rocking some funky spiketastic hair, instead of looking like a lame 1990s lesbian extra on Ellen's show.

Enough ranting.. sorry if I've offended any of the following: People who live in Ireland, people who like Ireland, Divorced people, and 1990s lesbians

Ulta: Pinata-Yada-Yada over and under white

I wanted to see how the sparse multi-colored glitter of Pinata-Yada-Yada looked over white, so I did two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White, and topped it with a coat of Pinata-Yada-Yada. I like it, but not as much as I liked it over black. Maybe it is the white I used.. I feel like it had a yellow tint to it, which I hateeee. But other than that it is pretty cool. Very festive.

And then, because I love how China Glaze Party Hearty looks under a sheer white, I put two layers of OPI Funny Bunny (a very sheer white) over the previous mani.

I like it better under the white. It reminds me of like... an unfocused camera or something like that.

Ulta: Pinata-Yada-Yada over Sinful Black on Black

I wanted to show you guys a great cheap Deborah Lipmann Happy Birthday look alike - Ulta's Pinata-Yada-Yada. It only cost me 2 dollars- which is fabulous. And I love it. I didn't expect to - since I had no desire to pick up Milani Gems or Happy Birthday. But check it out over the best black in the world - Sinful's Black on Black. This is one coat of Black on Black and one coat of Pinata-Yada-Yada.

Diamond Cosmetics: Drift Away

Have I mentioned how much I love Diamond Cosmetics?? So cheap! Such great color options! And they are located in Florida - which really doesn't matter because you have to buy their polishes online anyway... but it is still nice to know.
Well today I have for you Drift Away, which is a nice dusty grape color. The finish seems to have hint of jelly in it, which I love. Super shiny, as you can see. And this was without a top coat.
Sorry that most of these pictures were taken while clouds were blocking the sun - but it is a good representation of what the polish looks like in real life.

China Glaze: Hyper Haute

I wanted to show you guys another polish from the Tronica collection - Hyper Haute. I love it! So bright - so bold... and holo-rific. What's not to love?
