While OPI's Midnight in Moscow usually looks pretty close to black most of the time, I really love the unexpected warmth and shine that you get when this polish is hit by the sun. One of my favorite fall/wintery polishes.

China Glaze: Gussied Up Green
Well, now that I have it I can totally see what everyone is raving out. China Glaze Gussied Up Green is definitely my new favorite green. Dark. Mysterious. Blatantly green no matter what the lighting is. Shimmer. What could be better??

Essie: Dive Bar
Here is one of the Essie polishes I grabbed when I saw the display at Walmart. I was really expecting to love love love this polish. But it seems a little mediocre to me. It is probably because I'm tired of dark polishes. I just wish this had more glitter, more sparkle, more something. More blue and green shimmer. I don't know. I just want more. Don't get me wrong, it is very pretty. Hopefully I will grow to love it.
On a side note - omg it is soooo hot here. It was 80 degrees yesterday. I want the winter to last just a little longer.

Borghese: Stellare Notte
These pictures totally don't do this polish justice. This polish is sparkly, duochrome goodness.
Trust me. Vampy Varnish did an awesome job of capturing it.

Ulta: Smoke-Screen
Hey, today I've got pics of one polishes that was in the Shades of Grey collection at Ulta. I love greys. grays. I'm really not quite sure how I ought to spell it. Anyhoo, this is Smoke-Screen. I love it. It is so dark and mysterious.
This was a beautifully opaque grey cream. One coat people, one coat. And this polish dries wicked fast. Seriously I painted my nails literally 3 seconds before running out the door to go to the store and by the time I go to Walmart (which is about 2 minutes away) they were dry enough to be bumped into and not dent. Which is exactly the kind of polish that I need. I wish this was in a bigger bottle, because I forsee this bottle being empty in the next month or so.

Ulta: Steppin Out
Here is Ulta Steppin Out. I love this color! I've been searching for a deep dark jelly red, and I think this might be the favorite one that I've tried.
It's drastically different depending on the lighting. Here it looks like a bright cherry red, whereas in the shade (which you will soon see) it looks much darker.
So here's a picture in the shade.
Fabulousness!!
and a kinda blurry one. But shows awesome color.
And here is Nikki sunbathing. She loves the sun.

Diamond Cosmetics: Cherry Tobacco
Yay! I finished my assignment earlier than I thought I would! To be honest, I usually don't expect to finish my assignments more than 10 minutes before they're due. But.. tis the life of a procrastinator. Am I right, or am I right?
Anyhoo - I know what you're thinking... you want less about my character flaws and more about Diamond Cosmetics. Well I don't blame you. So here we go.
Cherry Tobacco. Wow. I think this is a really shitty picture. What the heck was I thinking. And why is it so blurry? And why is the sun reflecting off of my nails so brightly? What is this, a Flemish genre painting? Okay, so nobody will understand that reference.. but I'm okay with that.
Hmmm... another picture that really doesn't show off this poilsh's potential. But I actually think this is pretty representative of what the color looks like most of the time. It's pretty darn dark. Which is good. Very vampy. Wine-like. The first coat is very sheer, and it looks almost black. But with another coat or two (this is three - could have stuck with two if they were thick coats) the color really starts to glow. This polish is downright luminous is the right lighting. Beautiful.
Okay now, when I looked at this picture on my screen after I loaded it, it looked a lot less plummy, and more bright red. Maybe if you click on it and enlarge it you will be able to really see the shimmery goodness of this polish. Looking at the bottle you would think that the whole nail would be covered in shimmer, but it is much more sparse than that. But that makes me like it more. I already have a ton of red glitter polishes and don't need anymore.
I love Diamond Cosmetics.
And I love Craig Ferguson
And I love Craig Ferguson more when Kristen Bell is his guest. She is hilarious.
